Shred is a large charcoal drawing, exploring themes of rupture, momentum and force.
It was conceived in part as an exercise of material equivalence, using a drawing medium that is essentially a burnt black stick to render an image of a burnt-out black object. Shred was exhibited in Melbourne at contemporary art space Conical, and now hangs in a private collection in Melbourne.
